Our Philosophy
Gateway Riding Center offers customized
training, lesson and exercise packages. Jonelle Reuland, head trainer will
meet with you to develop a training or lesson package that meets your
specific goals.
Many equestrians come to Gateway Riding
Center because they are committed to becoming the best rider they can be,
with the horse they already own. Although lessons and training are not
required, most boarders do take regular weekly lessons and many have their
horses in a regular training program. This gives them the opportunity to
learn while their horses are learning, too.
Whatever your passion
—
dressage, leadership
and behavior, hunt seat, western pleasure or gaited horses
—
our goal is to
help your horse develop balance and flexibility while you develop timing,
feel and a secure seat.

Gateway Riding Center
Directions
Gateway Riding Center is conveniently
located at 2280 Plainfield Road, in Oswego, Ill., within minutes of
Naperville, Aurora, Downers Grove and Plainfield, at the intersection of
Douglas and Plainfield Roads. Our 38 stall boarding and training facility on
nearly 25 acres offers indoor and outdoor riding areas and a bridle path
around the property.
We offer daily turnout, weather permitting,
using a combination of pasture and dirt paddocks. Turnout groups are
carefully chosen, and then monitored, because at Gateway, our priority is
the safety of both horses and riders.
While most of our boarders are not
competitive riders, they do share the common goals of learning to ride more
effectively, improving their horses’ and their own personal performance, and
enjoying time with people who feel the way they do.
Most of our boarders and lesson students
have been with us since our facility was established in 1999
but we welcome
new boarders and lesson students who want a place to enjoy their horses in a
positive,
supportive environment.
